Emid staat op de 3rd International Conference on Managing Knowledge for Space Missions in Darmstadt, Duitsland.
Belangrijke punten in deze conferentie zijn vergrijzing van de medewerkers en de komende uitstroom van kennis, hergebruik van kennis en ervaring, inzet van semantic web en ontologien voor het delen van kennis, architectuur en infrastructuur van kennismanagement en informatiemanagement systemen, het intern en extern inzetten van collaboration.
Het doel van de conferentie is om informatie en ervaringen over de verschillende KM initiatieven en programma's uit te wisselen.

The ESA Knowledge Management Team is pleased to host the 3rd International Conference “ Managing Knowledge for Space Missions” to be held in ESOC from the 21 to 23 June 2010 in Room HI. This will be the third time that such conference takes place but it is for the first time in Europe. The main purpose of this event is to give to the International Entities, Organizations, Industries, Companies, Institutions and Universities the opportunity to present and discuss their Knowledge Management programmes and projects. Moreover, the event aims to highlight new technology applications and promoting collaboration across international entities in the field of Knowledge Capture, Sharing and Preservation.
The conference’s focus is on Knowledge Management topics for the aerospace community, however the findings and recommendations could be also relevant to different sectors and this is especially addressed in dedicated track of Knowledge Management for Integrated Applications.
About the Conference
Aerospace companies and space agencies are making use of a large variety of methods to capture, store, organize, and distribute key knowledge from their experts and missions. These methods involve different processes, people, and technologies to accomplish the goals of the organization. The focus of the Conference is on how the different organizations have organized Knowledge Management internally, and also the processes they are using. Learning how Knowledge Management issues are addressed help to improve the mutual understanding of Knowledge Management and build a forum on how in the future the global community can do so.
